The interpretation of the sea as a common frontier is unusual. Everyone hides the sea in their own personal world and admires it selfishly, with few words or descriptions. It is a hard work to share something that is huge, to divide something that is boundless or share something that is eternal. (Borja Verea).

About her series Mar the author says: “… and then the sea, the horizon of evasion, evocation of liberty, is invaded, loses its meaning, its serenity and its magic, to become a space that contains, without distinction or exclusion, the interests, the wishes, the fears of the human being.”
