Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1972. In 1990 he began his studies in Mechanic Engineering. He came into contact with the world of photography in 1994 and took an advanced course in advertising photography in 1995, working at the same time as assistant and photographer. He has received several scholarships, such as the Skopelos Centre of Photography (Greece), Fundación Antorchas (Argentina) and the UNESCO-Aschberg, to spend the residence period at the Rijkakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam. In 2001 he received the Leonardo Award of Photography from the Museum of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, and the Photographer of the Year award from the Argentine Association of Art Critics. In 2006 he received the Best Photograph award from the same association. He has shown his work individually in Argentina, Belgium, Spain, United Kingdom, France and United States, among others.
His work in panoramic format (during GETXOPHOTO he exhibited a copy of 37 x 1,2 meters) is executed with a camera designed and made by himself. Fixing his attention on the urban landscape and registering phenomena like traffic and mobility, the author makes us take part in an optical-photographic process which the human eye is not able to recreate.
