Getxo, the Basque Country, 1960. Gonzalo M. Azumendi is probably one of the most famous travel photographers in Spain, and perhaps the most comical. He has been working for more than 20 years as a freelance photographer. He loves working for the publishing sector. A seasoned traveller, he contributes to the most prestigious magazines, newspapers and publications in more that 30 countries: Viajes National Geographic, Altair, Lonely Planet, Rutas del Mundo, Grandes Espacios, El País, El Mundo, among others. He has also published some photography books, and has been asked by the UNESCO to portray World Heritage sites.
In his images, as in his own character, positive and happy view of the world prevails, as well as a special interest in people and life. Muchachada Nui reflects this point of view.
